Biography
Dr Craig Wilson received his PhD in Finance from the University of Alberta in 2004. He currently teaches Advanced Investment Theory and Derivative Securities, and has formerly taught Theory of Finance and Introduction to Finance.
Dr Wilson's research interests are primarily in the areas of financial modelling and financial market microstructure. His research has been published in various academic journals and books, and he has presented many conference papers. Dr Wilson has worked in different capacities for conferences organized by Financial Management Association, Eastern Finance Association, Northern Finance Association, and the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada. He was also a recipient of the Ministère de Finances Award (for Best Paper in the Area of Fixed Income), Northern Finance Association, 2003, and the Bank of Canada Prize for Best Empirical Study of Canadian Capital Markets, Northern Finance Association, 2004.
Dr Wilson is currently researching topics related to information asymmetry, corporate investment, and corporate governance.
