Biography

Dr. Grant Isaac is the Dean of the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Isaac is a Senior Associate with the Estey Centre for Law and Economics in International Trade and with the London School of Economics' International Trade Policy Unit and he is a member of the Canadian Agri-Food Marketing Council.

Dr. Isaac’s teaching interests are primarily in the strategic management of the research, development and commercialization of advanced technology products with a specific emphasis upon products of modern biotechnology. Similarly, his research interests are primarily in the areas of: international trade of technology products; the role of technology in economic growth; and the strategic management of intellectual property rights and regulatory processes. He is the author or co-author of two books as well as numerous book chapters and research articles appearing in academic journals including The World Economy, Journal of World Trade, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Journal of International Biotechnology Law, International Marketing Review, Journal of International Law and Trade Policy, Journal of World Intellectual Property, Food Policy, Journal of Aboriginal Economic Development, AgBioForum and ISUMA Canadian Journal of Policy Research among others.
