Biography
Sanj is the Chair of the MBA Biotechnology Management Specialization program at the U of S and also leads the undergraduate biotechnology management major program. His doctoral research (PhD-University of Surrey, United Kingdom) area focuses on “The Development and Growth of New Technology Based Firms”. This research looks at the integration of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship and the process of value creation within high technology based firms. Sanj has provided strategic consulting and management services to life science companies within this area. He is currently working with four companies and assisting them to commercialize their technologies. Sanj is very active within local organizations and participates in various international conferences. Some of the notable organizations where he has provided strategic counsel are Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority, VIDO/InterVac and the Saskatoon Health Region. Sanj is also a professional associate of the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and teaches in the Masters of International Trade program. Sanj has 19 years of industry experience having started a number of technology based firms. He has an MBA in Biotechnology Management and his academic and professional career includes finance, marketing, and high technology entrepreneurship.
