Scotiabank supports Aboriginal graduate business education
On February 22, 2006, the University of Saskatchewan announced a $250,000 gift from Scotiabank that would be used to support graduate Aboriginal programming in the Edwards School of Business. This gift was given as part of the University of Saskatchewan’s Thinking the World of our Future campaign – a highly successful campaign that has engaged our friends and supporters from across the country and, indeed, from around the world.
The new Scotiabank MBA Bridging Initiative is designed to encourage the next generation of Aboriginal business leaders to consider upgrading their skills with an MBA from the U of S. One of the critial requirements for entrance into our MBA program is the completion of the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a score of 500 or more.
The Initiative
We offer a 5-day in-house program that will assist potential MBA candidates to the U of S program, provide advance GMAT preparation, and provide professional networking opportunities and activities.
The Scotiabank MBA Bridging Initiative aims to assist potential MBA candidates who may come from a variety of post-secondary education backgrounds whose current work experience puts them in management roles. Whether you have a Native Studies degree, an Education degree, or Political Science degree, the Scotiabank MBA Bridging Initiative will introduce you to our business school environment. Potential MBA candidates will become familiar with the U of S MBA program and its specialization areas.
The participants accepted into the Scotiabank MBA Bridging Initiative will be fully sponsored. The course is typically offered in the Spring.
