The traditional university lectures are used to introduce new subject material.
Three and four hour seminars requiring the active participation of both students and instructors are used to develop intellectual, communication, interpersonal and professional skills and to begin the process of application and integration of multi-disciplinary knowledge via case and situational analysis.
Workshops varying in length from one hour to several days are used throughout the program to enhance the development of professional skills. Experts from industry and from the University of Saskatchewan lead these workshops, which are designed specifically for MPAcc students.
Simulations similar to CA professional examinations are written and reviewed by students throughout the program. In addition, students who are pursuing the CA designation participate in CASB’s Module 6 once they have successfully completed MPAcc. This module extends students’ exam writing skills in preparation for the UFE.
