MPAC 802:  Corporate Financial Management:  Policies, Strategies and Decision Making

This course provides comprehensive coverage of finance theories, concepts and techniques essential to professional accountants in their roles as a financial information preparer, auditor and financial advisor. In addition, it provides an in-depth analysis of the nature and fundamental characteristics of the increasingly complex innovative financial instruments and transactions that businesses undertake.

In this course students learn to:

  • apply key finance tools and techniques for wealth creation and management;
  • account for these transactions and instruments, and
  • recognize and assess the financial risk exposure of firms engaged in complex transactions and instruments and their likely consequences
