Featured Researcher

The Edwards School of Business is pleased to welcome four new faculty members who will be featured here over the next year.

David Zhang

B.Eng (Zhejiang University, China)
Ph.D. in Marketing (University of Manitoba)
B.A. in Sociology (University of Winnipeg)
MBA (University of Manitoba)

Dr. Zhang joined the Department of Management and Marketing at Edwards School of Business as an Associate Professor in January 2007. His teaching and research interests include marketing strategy, international marketing, and entrepreneurial marketing & strategy. Dr. Zhang recently successfully defended his PhD dissertation. He has published his research articles in Journal of Strategic Marketing, and numerous refereed academic conferences. Two of his papers are currently under 2nd review at Journal of Knowledge Management and International Journal of Knowledge Management.

His current research projects include, “The Characteristics of Entrepreneurs and their Strategic Choices”, which is to be presented at ASAC this summer; “Strategy Implementation in SMEs” and “Social Entrepreneurship”, both are to be presented at UIC Entrepreneurship Symposium in Sweden; and “Perceived Corporate Social Responsibility in Advertising”.
