After the success of the 1st International Conference on Vedic Foundations of Indian Management (VFIM 2012 ) which focused on the essence of leadership and management by drawing insights from Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagwat Gita and Ramayana and integrate it with modern management practices to promote stakeholder engagement and enlightened corporate citizenship behavior ISOL Research Foundation announces VFIM 2013 in Hyderabad . The 2nd International Conference on Vedic Foundations of Indian Management will once again bring together the scholars from various disciplines, particularly, Management, Economics, Philosophy, Sanskrit and Prakrit Studies, Vedic and Indic Studies, Ancient Indian History etc. to closely work and contribute in the area of Vedic Foundations of Indian Management.
What is the interest level for Edwards School of Business undergraduate students in International Business Programs? This is the question Edwards students Jenessa Paproski, Jill Horkoff, Taylor Harding, and Steve Switzer set out to answer on behalf of Hanlon Centre for International Business Studies.
The Edwards JDC West team, including co-captains Kelsey Heggie and Cole Thorpe and their faculty coach Trevor Maber, were recognized in the Legislature on Monday April 28, 2013. The team was invited by Minister of Advanced Education, Don Morgan after winning School of the Year at the national business competition this January.
On April 12-13, the University of Alberta hosted the 2013 Student Conference on Operations (SCOPE) competition. This annual conference allows students the opportunity to showcase real-world applications of operations management to fellow students and the business community. The event provides a forum whereby student teams can present their projects (based on work with actual clients) in a competitive environment.
Edwards School of Business student Kit Hillis was awarded the E. Kent Phillips Trophy for 2012/2013 outstanding male athlete. The award was presented by Huskie Athletics at the annual Huskie Salute on Friday, April 5th, 2013.
